Arkadiusz (Arek) Wi¶niowski

Welcome to my homepage!

Currently I work as a Lecturer in Social Statistics at the Social Statistics Discipline Area, School of Social Sciences, University of Manchester. I am also a member of the Cathie Marsh Institute for Social Research (CMIST) and the ESRC Research Centre for Population Change (CPC) at the University of Southampton.

In my research I concentrate on developing statistical methods for modelling and forecasting complex social processes, with a particular focus on migration and mobility, and combining various sources of data. I also have a general interest in time series analysis and forecasting, hierarchical models, Bayesian computational methods, micro-econometrics, opinion polls and ageing. In my research I use Bayesian inference.
