Black Swan Effect
Nassim Nicholas Taleb w książce "The Black Swan" zamieścił wykres, na którym porównywał szereg historyczny (50 lat) indeksu SP500 z szeregiem, z którego usunięto 10 największych jednodniowych ruchów giełdy. Wykonałem podobne ćwiczenie dla dwóch indeksów z polskiej giełdy - WIG i WIG20. Wyniki w postaci wykresów poniżej
W przypadku obydwóch indeksów pominięte stopy zwrotu były odległe od średniej o co najmniej 4 odchylenia standardowe. Przy założeniu, że zwroty są zmiennymi losowymi z rokładu normalnego zdarzenia takie powinny występować nie częściej niż raz na 15000 sesji. Zakres danych w badaniu obejmował - odpowiednio dla WIG i WIG20 - 3651 i 3319 sesji.
